Külli Annamaa, Head of the Genebank at the Centre for Rural Research and Knowledge, will participate in the 10th session of the Governing Body of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Agriculture (ITPGRFA) at FAO Headquarters in Rome.

The session will take place on the theme "From seeds to innovative solutions, safguarding our future: contributing to the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework for sustainable food systems."

Nearly 400 representatives from 151 signatory countries, as well as observer countries and international organisations will participate.

The meeting will address a number of issues related to the agreement and its implementation of the multilateral access and benefit-sharing system.
