Preparation of the genetic Resources 2021 + programme.

The Evaluation Committee for the implementation of the agricultural crop genetic resources programme at the Ministry of Rural Affairs has begun the preparation of a national programme 2021+.

The national programme shall create the prerequisites for the collection, preservation and use of local genetic resources of
agricultural crops, both for commercial and research purposes and for the conservation of the genetic resource of plants under the Sustainable Development Act.

The Ministry of Rural Affairs and the Ministry of the Environment are responsible for the collection and conservation of genetic resources in agriculture in Estonia.
